This is attempt #2. The recipe is Joy of Cooking's Golden Cake, which turned out pretty light and airy. I'm still on the hunt for a "wetter" cake recipe--something that has a less fluffy texture.
I cheated and test-frosted these with Nutella.
These will be part of the birthday cupcakes.
