Citrus Discovery

Today at Wegman's, I found this:


It was labeled a "cocktail grapefruit"--a cross between a pomelo and an orange. Since I love citrus, I had to try it.

Here's a picture of it next to a wee satsuma mandarin.



The wee satsuma mandarin was really wee (we got a box at Trader Joe's).



So back to the cocktail grapefruit. It is flat, like a grapefruit, but it has pomelo-like skin. It tasted more like a milder grapefruit. Not bad.
